Setter Hills Tundra, and Tori.
Setter Hills Tundra and Citori
Setter Hills Tundra (OFA Good, normal elbows) is a 50 lb, blue belton female out of Setter Hills Teal and Aspenglow Corky. Tundra is a joy to be around and has really been lighting it up in the field. She has deep brown eyes, full pigment and is very athletic, like her dam, Teal. Tundra was bred to Setter Hills Tanner and 8 pups arrived in Nov. of 05 . We repeated the breeding in 07 with wonderful results.
Setter Hills Citori (Tori) is also a 50 lb. blue belon female out of Setter Hills Teal and Pinecoble Jerry. Tori's hips are rated "Good" by OFA at 24 mos. Tori and her brother Gunner (see male pg) were our two pick pups from a litter of 10 back in May of 2004. Tori is a powerful dog with solid natural instincts and biddable temperment. Tori produced her 1st litter in Sept. of 06 with our orange belton male Tanner and is expecting her 2nd litter with Parker in June of 08.

Setter Hills Autumn
Autumn is a lovely orange belton female whelped in May of 2000 from Sugarloaf Kennels (Dave Sizemore) in Morehead, Kentucky. Autumns litter resulted from an outcross between the Ryman and Pinecoble lines. Autumn was hunting grouse at five months of age and has been an exciting addition to our breeding program. She has a perfect bite, pigmented eyerings, a prelimanary OFA rating of "Good",BAER certified,Normal elbows and GDC acceptable. Autumn has been bred to Setter Hills McCoy with pups arriving late July of 08.Click here to see her pedigree.
Crooked Stump Phoenix
Crooked Stump Phoenix is a lovely orange belton female whelped on 3/26/02 from the old Ryman Alder Run line. Phoenix came to us from Preston Miller, Ruffwood Kennel in Terra Alta, WV in December of 07. She has been bred to Setter Hills Birch and whelped 8 lively pups on February 16th, 2008. She is an excellent , adoring mother, so proud of her little ones. We are looking forward to introducing her to some Minnesota ringnecks and crafty ruffed grouse this coming fall. Phoenix hips are rated FAIR at 38 mos. by the OFA.

Setter Hills Skye
Skye is a heavily ticked blue belton female whelped May of 2000 out of October Setters lines. She is a full litter sister to our Abby and promises to be an exciting addition to our line. Skye weighs 53 pounds, has a beautiful scissor bite, and is certified GDC "Excellent" . Skye was bred to Setter Hills Aspen and whelped her first litter on 3/27/03. Her 2nd litter arrived in Nov. of 04 and we kept a lovely org fem. named Sequoia, sired by Quin. Skye is showing great potential on training birds and did well in the woods this past fall! Setter Hills Allegheny and Setter Hills Lady Brier
Allegheny is a 58 pound strikingly marked tri female whelped in May of 2001 out of our Setter Hills Rye and a lovely orange Ryman female from Michigan's UP. Allie is a hard charger in the field and promises to be an exciting addition to our line. Allie's hips have been rated "Good" by the OFA at 40 mos. Allie's 1st litter arrived this winter out of Pinecoble Jerry and she's a very devoted "Mom". Lady Brier, whelped in March of 03, is Allie's full sister from a repeat breeding. L. Brier is a lovely orange belton with deep brown eyes and a lively personality. We expect she'll reach about 60 lbs. at maturity.Brier's hips are rated OFA Good with Normal elbows. Setter Hills Holly
Holly is a pretty blue female produced from an outcross between the Ryman and Pinecoble lines. Holly is quite fine boned, has a refined head, and is light on her feet. Holly's adult weight is around 46 lbs. She has an outstanding nose and is extremely intense on point. We're looking forward to watching her develop into a fine young bird dog! Holly's hips are rated good with the OFA. Holly was bred to Setter Hills Rye and we welcome her first litter of 10 healhy pups the end of July 04. Setter Hills Cindair
Cindair is a lovely blue belton whelped 5/7/02 out of Setter Hills Abby and Randolph's Tucker. She is heavily bred in the Ryman line and we're looking forward to helping her develop into a fine bird dog. Cindair weighs 52 solid lbs.and loves to romp and play with her kennel mates. She is a very loving dog and has a kind, gentle expression in her deep brown eyes! Cindair's hips are rated Good at 32 months by the OFA. Setter Hills Henley
Setter Hills Henley is a promising young blue female whelped 10/31/02 out of Setter Hills Cooper and Pinecoble Hannah. Henley weighs 50 lbs. and is very muscular. She is exhibiting exciting natural abilities in the field and possess a sound temperment. We're getting good reports back on her littermates as well and look for these pups to put in a solid performance this fall in the woods/field. Henely's hips have been rated Good by the OFA at 24 mos., elbows rated normal. She has been bred to Setter Hills Gunner and Manton with fine results.

Setter Hills Indy
Setter Hills Indy is a 44 pound blue patched female whelped in November of 2001 out of Storm and Pinecoble Jerry. Indy has a good nose and is bird crazy. She is extremely light on her feet and a wonderful athlete. She is retrieving to hand with a soft mouth. Indy was one of 6 lovely females out of a litter of 11 fine bird-dog pups. Indy's hips are rated "Good" by the OFA, elbows are normal. See her litter sister "Cass" pictured on our Scrapebook page as well as a family shot with brother Manton. Indy was bred to Tanner in the fall of 06 and Cooper in 07.

Centurian's Nina (Setter Hills Logan)
Logan is a heavily ticked orange belton female whelped in August of 2000 out of Ryman and Pinecoble lines. Logan is an accomplished gun dog and really shines in the grouse woods. Logan has a delightful personality and is extremely biddable and affectionate. She hunts at 55 lbs. and has great stamina. Logan's hips have been evaluated using the Penn Hip method and she was ranked in the 90th percentile. (Left hip DI=0.36/ right hip DI=0.32). Logan was bred to Hunter and whelped 4 healthy pups in June of 06. Her 2nd litter with Aspen arrived on 1/2/08, see our litter page for details.
Setter Hills Sumac
Setter Hills Sumac is an attractive orange belton female whelped in June of 2004. Sumac is out of Ryman and Pinecoble lines and hunts at 50 lbs. She is a WONDERFUL companion dog with solid instincts. She is handling her bird training well and works with great enthusiasm and drive. Sumac's hips are rated OFA excellent at 24 mos. Sumac was bred to Valor this winter and whelped 6 healthy pups on 3-25-07. She is a devoted mother!
Setter Hills Sequoia
Setter Hills Sequoia is a 58 lb. lightly ticked orange belton heavily bred in the old Ryman line. Her sire is our Setter Hills Quin and her dam is Setter Hills Skye. Sequoia is an extremely affectionate dog whose tail is always wagging. She has shown us some nice things in the field and is very easy to work with. Sequoia hunts in a close to medium range and has nice energy in the woods. Her hips are rated "Good" by the OFA at 26 mos. See her pictured above after a Minnesota ringneck hunt with her chestnut son Haze out of Setter Hills Parker.
Setter Hills Briley
Setter Hills Briley is a two year old Ryman bred female with stiking tri markings. She is a product of a breeding between Fetter's Seneca Queen (Lexie) and Setter Hills Noble. Briley is a quiet girl around the house but enjoys nothing better than a triip up North for grouse or pheasant right here in West Central Minnesota. Briley's hips have been rated "Good" by the OFA and we bred her to Aspen the summer of 07.
